An Amazon

I did this some time ago... and it holds up rather well, thank you very much, despite the intervening time! Fans of mine may realize that this has been submitted before- but this is a bigger file, to make larger prints, if desired, taken with a better camera. The story behind it is that there was a drawing on a comic book cover (A Superman comic) , a pretty old cover, that was a drawing that worked well, by some artist that I don't have the name of handy. But by cropping to the face only, and amplifying the idea, I thought that this worked very well. This is one of my early oil paintings. And the gleam on the helmet? Yes, that is really part of the painting! I love amazons.
