Wonder Woman by alphanathan Wonder Woman by alphanathan
this is my version of Wonder Woman. it is in oil paint, with urethane varnish. this is the first time i did a superhero. i like to think (brag) that the light areas look a Bougereau, the background looks like a Maxfield Parrish, and the dark areas look like an N.C.Wyeth

I really like the lighting and use of color in the background.

well, anything positive is high praise- being that it comes from someone that can pencil the way that you do. when i did 'Wonder Woman', i thought that the back ground was a bit maxfield parrish, the light areas are like beaugereau and the darks are n c wyeth. arrogant of me- huh? warning- this sort of thing took way too long, too many layers of paint and varnish, and there is still a mistake in the anatomy. oh, yeah, and there are corrections that you can't see. i paint from the light- without reference (in this case)
